Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of Macaroni Noodles
1 Quart of Water
½ cup or 1 stick of Butter
½ cup of Flour
1 cup of Milk
1 tsp of Salt
1 tsp of Pepper
1 tsp of Garlic Power
8 dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp of mustard
8 dashes of hot sauce or ¼ of a cup of green chiles (optional)
4 cups of cheddar cheese (save 1 cup to put on top of the use on top)
1 cup of chopped Pecans
INSTRUCTIONS
- Start by filling a large pot with the water, and bringing it to a boil.
- After it is boiling add the noodles to the water and cook till it is al dente.
- Strain the noodles in colander and set aside.
- In the same large pot that had the noodles, add the butter and wait till it melts.
- Add flour to melted butter and stir until incorporated. Keep stirring for 2 minutes to cook the flour.
- Use whisk while pouring in the milk. Whisk until smooth and then add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the mixture. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens (do not leave the mixture keep an eye on it so it does not burn on the bottom).
- When it is as thick as pudding turn down the heat to low and add the Worcestershire sauce, the hot sauce, mustard and cheese. Mix till it is smooth and the cheese is completely melted.
- Add the noodles into the cheese sauce and stir then pour into a casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese and pecans.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 mins or until it is brown and crispy on top. ENJOY!
